Signing of MOA between FINEX Research & Development Foundation, Inc. and CIBI Foundation, Inc. (now Capital Markets Development Foundation, Inc.) on FETP with the following objectives:
a) Development of financial literacy among college teachers an annual training of finance educators among the various colleges / universities in the Philippines.
b) Ugrade the Philippines’ finance education to international standards.
c) Recognize the importance of providing an environment of excellence and competence among the finance teachers in the country.

Signing of MOA between FINEX Research & Development Foundation, Inc. and CIBI Foundation, Inc. (now Capital Markets Development Foundation, Inc), and PDS Academy for Market Development Corporation and Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corporation with the following objectives:
a) To continue the FETP being conducted by CIBI Foundation, Inc (now Capital Markets Development Foundation, Inc.) and by FINEX Research & Development Foundation, Inc.
b) To upgrade and update the FETP in terms of content by including an expanded menu of topics and “advanced” coverage of topics.
c) Expand the FETP in terms of reaching out to more finance teachers geographically.
d) Establish bases of getting “capital markets” included as a mandatory subject for all business administration students to take.
e) Advocate the promotion of the study of capital markets as a subject matter for inclusion in the business and ecomomics curriculum, addressed to CHED and other school authorities.

Outstanding Finance Educator (OFE) Award:
The Business Education Committee will relaunch the search for the Outstanding Finance Educator Award this 2024. The committee will have the partnership with Deloitte/Navarro Amper & Co. and reconfirm their commitment as the major sponsor for this search.
The OFE Awards is an advocacy to support talent development by recognizing the outstanding professors who mold and influence the country’s future financial leaders, the firm hopes to empower these educators to continue their noble work of teaching, thereby deepening the country’s talent pool in the fields of business and finance.
The Search is open to all exemplary Finance Professors all over the country. FInalists will be chosen from NCR, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, and one overall winner will be the awardee of “Outstanding Finance Educator”.
Capital market development covers many fronts of educational endeavor and requires broad collective efforts for maximum results. The approach of CMDFI is for stakeholders to apply their resources jointly in training and training-related programs and activities. This way, priority audiences can be better identified and given attention and training efforts better directed and coordinated nationwide.
Among the organizations that CMDFI has collaborated with are PhilRatings, SharePhil, and the Association of Credit Ratings Agencies in Asia (ACRAA). Details about these ongoing partnerships can be found here.
